Ashtonishing X-Men
John Cassaday began his career in the mid-1990s with 'Dark Angel' at Boneyard Press and 'Negative Burn' at Caliber Comics. He illustrated several covers and one issue of 'Ghost' at Dark Horse. His first high-profile work was 'Ka-Zar: Sibling Rivalry' at Marvel. He then took on the 'Desperadoes' mini-series at Wildstorm. He continued his collaboration with Marvel with the mini-series 'X-Men/Alpha Flight' and 'Union Jack'. He helped relaunch the 'Captain America' title in 2002. In 1998, Cassaday teamed up with writer Warren Ellis to launch 'Planetary' on DC's Wildstorm imprint.
