Massimo Cavezzali was born in 1950 in Ravenne. he made his first comics for Il Mago, published by Mondadori, in 1976. He subsequently contributed to the newspapers L'Unità and Paese Sera, to Tuttolibri, a supplement of La Stampa, and the magazines Dolly, Il Monello, Tango, Comix and Lupo Alberto. From 1982, he has made several episodes of the 'Ivan Timbrovic' for the monthly Orient Express. He has created the character 'Ava', and has made series like 'Piglia e Dalla in Concerto' and 'Padre Figlio e Spirito Tanto'. Cavezzali has published several albums in the collection L'Isola Trovata. He died in 2023.
