El Buque Fantasma

Born in Alhama de Murcia, Alfonso Cerón Núñez had his first publications in the newspaper La Prensa in 1962. He was editor of such periodicals as Diario de Barcelona and La Hoja del Lunes between 1966 and 1981. In the early 1970s, he drew comic adaptations of literary works for Colleción Historias Famosas and Joyas Literarias Juveniles of the publishing house Bruguera. He illustrated among others adaptations of Hector Malot's 'Nobody's Boy' and Robert L. Stevenson's 'Treasure Island'. He also contributed to magazines like Mundo and ABC.
