Shiuan-Wen Chu is a Taiwanese architect and graphic novelist, based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. She was born in Taipei, Taiwan in 1973, and lived in South Africa for 7 years during the fall of Apartheid before moving to the Netherlands in 1998. Between 2001 and 2008, she practiced in several renowned Dutch architecture offices and realised buildings in China with KCAP. She taught at TU Delft for various masters courses in architectural design and theory. She has self-published a series of mini-comix called 'Chu Cat Chronicle' since 2011. In 2014 Xtra released the autobiographical graphic novel 'Heel erg anders', about a busy mother and her autistic son.
