May Claerhout is a Belgian sculptor and painter. She creates sculptures in bronze and terracotta, and she has created several statues for public buildings in Belgium. She has her studio in Malle. In the 1960s, she has made a couple of comics stories for Ohee magazine under the pen name Mario. She has also made illustrations for nature books.
