Sherm Cohen was born in Los Angeles, California in 1965. At the end of the nineties he got involved with making animations, and he worked on cartoons like 'Hey, Arnold!', 'The Amanda Show' and John Kricfalusi's 'The Ren & Stimpy Show'. He became director of the 2004 'Spongebob Squarepants' movie, based on Stephen Hillenburg's famous character, and also drew several comics about this popular cartoon character for Nickelodeon Magazine. He has also drawn 'Hey, Arnold!' comics for his magazine. Sherm himself made an "appearance" in the Spongebob cartoons as Uncle Sherm.
