Kevin Colden was born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. He attended the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art, where he graduated in 2001. He spent two years as a coffee-house musician in northern New Jersey before moving to New York City. In 2002, he began his relationship with House of Twelve, appearing regularly in their anthology books. He also did work for Manual Comics, Asylum Press, Media-Blasters and Weird NJ magazine. He does production design and storyboards for feature films, as well as making his own short films, producing home videos and DVDs, and recording his own music. He continues to write and draw short stories and graphic novels, publish his own mini comics, and draw for other writers and companies as well.
