Daphné Collignon studied illustration and then worked as a portrait artist and caricaturist in Disney World in Florida for a year. Back in France in 1999, she lived in Lyon, where she did coloring for children's CD-Roms and worked as an illustrator for books published by Milan, Hachette, Flammerion and Bayard Presse.
She moved to Angoulême in 2000, where she joined the Atelier Sanzot. She made her first comic, 'Le Rêve de pierres' in cooperation with Isabelle Dethan. It was published by Vents d'Ouest in 2004. She continued as an allround author with the diptych 'Coelacanthes' in 2006-07.

Then came the one shot 'Correspondante de guerre' with Anne Nivat (Soleil, 2009) and the second installment in Frank Giroud's series 'Destins' with Virginie Greiner. She now lives in Essaouira, Morocco, ans is a professor in illustration at the Superior School of Visual Arts in Marrakech.
