Laurent Colonnier is a regular contributor to the magazine Spirou since 1994. Among his early credits are scenarios for several short stories, as well as a variety of cartoons in the section 'La Balise à Cartoons'. From 1997, he draws the game page 'Les Jeux à la Coque de Mister Ploploop'. In 2000, he created the gag strip 'Fierrot le Pou'. Colonnier is also an illustrator.
