Andrea Da Rold is a Milan-based Italian artist, who works as an illustrator for children and storyboard artist for corporate clients. In the 1990s, he worked on independent action comics for publishers like Xenia ('Bad Moon') and Star Comics ('Samuel Sand', 'Goccia Nera'), and since 2017 on graphic novel adaptations of classic literature for the UK publisher Usborne.

Action comics
Andrea Da Rold is a graduate of the Brera Academy of Milan. In 1994 and 1995, he was part of the art team of the seven-issue cyberpunk comic book 'Bad Moon', created by Claudio Bruneri Fusi and published by Xenia Edizioni. His inkers were Anna Mucciarelli and Daniele Magni. He also drew a story in issue #37 of Xenia's 'Demon Hunter' title. Da Rold then joined Star Comics, where he illustrated issues of the action comic series 'Samuel Sand' (issue #3, 1997), 'Lazarus Ledd' (issue #61 and Extra issue #7, 1998) and 'Goccia Nera' (issue #1, 1998), most of them supervised by Ade Capone.

Comics for children
In the early 2000s, Andrea Da Rold briefly drew the title comic of the Dutch toddler magazine Bobo, originally created by Sergio Cavina. Since 2017, he works for the British publishing house Usborne on graphic novels based on classic literature, adapted by Russell Punter for the Usborne Graphic Legends series. Titles published include 'The Adventures of King Arthur' (2017), 'The Hound of the Baskervilles' (2018) and 'The Adventures of Thor' (2019). Other artists for the collection are Matteo Pincelli and Valentino Forlini.

Commercial art
Since then, Da Rold works as a commercial illustrator, represented by the Milan Illustrations Agency (MIA). He mostly illustrates publications for children, both fiction and scholastic, working for Italian publishers like Giunti, De Agostini, Mondadori and Piemme. Internationally, his publishing clients include Egmont in Scandinavia and the UK companies Usborne, Salariya and QED. With the Worldofdot Studio, Da Rold has supervised the restyling of the 'Geronimo Stilton' children's book series, for which he also makes covers and other illustrations. He has made cartoons for the internal organization of the Alleanza Assicurazioni insurance company, and worked as a storyboard illustrator for Green Movie, Sky Italia and Brevetto Basilico.
