Ian Dairin was born in 1973 in the Breton port city of Saint-Malo, and nowadays live in the Calvados department of Brittany. An avid fan of comic artists like Franquin, Hergé and Gotlib, he made his debut with the series 'KatZ' in Spirou magazine in 2006. Three booklets were published by Ange in 2007. Dairin was also a contributor to the 2005 collective comics documentary 'Amiante - chronique d'un crime social'. Éditions Makaka regularly publishes his work, starting with the children's comic 'Poil de citrouille' in 2009 (script Shulky). Also for Makaka, he has been making new 'KatZ' comics with writer Del since 2013.
