Colère sur la ville

Adjim Danngar, who signs his work with the pen name Achou, was born in N'Djamena in 1982. He has participated in numerous international comics competitions (in Yaoundé, Turin, N'Djamena, Bangui, Istanbul and Tamanrasse) and was awarded second prize at the tenth Mostra Mercato del Fumetto di Torino in 2004. From 2002 to 2004, he worked as an illustrator for the daily newspaper Rafigui and for the satirical magazine Le Miroir.

Today Danngar lives in Paris, where he has become a member of the organisation L'Afrique Dessinée. Together with Marcello Toninelli, Danngar created the comic 'The plague of kings' in the 'Approdi/New arrivals' series. This comic deals with immigration from the Third World. In 2006, Danngar participated in the Vues d'Afrique exhibition at the world's largest comic festival in Angoulême (France) with his short story 'Colère sur la ville'.
