Dan and James (Jim) De Carlo were Dan De Carlo's twin sons. Just like their father, they were prolific artists of comics with the various 'Archie' characters. Dan De Carlo Jr. was the penciller, while James De Carlo took on the inking of the comics drawn by both his brother and his father. Double tragedy struck when Dan Jr. developed stomach cancer, and succumbed to the disease in October 1990. Shortly afterwards, in August of 1991, James also passed away, having suffered a major stroke sometime before.
