'N'Ayez Pas Peur!'.
Geert De Sutter studied at the Sint-Lukas School of Arts in Brussels. He was Bob De Moor's assistant on 'Snoe en Snolleke', 'Cori le Moussaillon' ('Dali Capitan'), 'Blake et Mortimer' ('Les 3 Formules du Professeur Sato tome 2') and 'Barelli' ('Bruxelles Bouillonne') in the 1980s. His album 'Pol Plantijn - De Polyglotta's van Plantijn' was published by De Vlijt as an advertisement for Gazet van Antwerpen in 1991. In the early 1990s he also made two books with 'Johan van de Rand' for Het Komitee der Randgemeenten.
'De Tijdelijke Dood'.
De Sutter has made several comic albums in commission through CoccinelleBD, a small publisher in Durbuy. He has made the album 'La Joie d'un Choix' for a congregation in Paris, 'N'Ayez Pas Peur!' ('De Tijdelijke Dood') for the Diocese of Rotterdam (2007), 'Jan van Pietersheim' for De Vrienden van Pietersheim (2010) and 'De Verre Bestemming, De Grote Reis van Zuster Marie-Adolphine' for the Zuster Marie-Adolphine foundation. De Sutter made the script for 'Valentinus - 't Heilig Paterke', a comic drawn by Swerts and Vanas for the Friars Minor of Hasselt during the Virga Jesse celebrations of 2010. A story he made with Fritz Van den Heuvel for Suske en Wiske Weekblad was eventually published in P@per. He gives courses in comic art at Syntra in Hasselt and in Bruges. In 2011 he paid graphic homage to Pom in the collective tribute album 'Op Het Spoor van Pom' (2011).
