Davy Demol is a Flemish comic artist, known for his gag series 'Vic' and the charity comic book 'De Weldoeners: De Verborgen Grot' (2013), made for the Parkinson's disease foundation Gabe's Foundation.

Early life and career
Davy Demol was born in 1980 in Torhout, but has lived in Tienen since 2006. Together with his twin brother Chris, he enjoyed drawing and coloring from a young age. In elementary school, they made their first comic books. Fascinated by 'Pinkje de Pinguïn' by Stef Desodt and Filip Cardoen, a character from the children's page in De Krant van West-Vlaanderen, he aspired to become a cartoonist himself. By 2001, he developed the characters Vic and Sepp, who returned in his later career. In adulthood, he lost his interest in cartooning for a while, and his focus shifted to playing the guitar. However, an episode of the TV show 'De Strip' brought him in contact with Steve Van Bael, who gave him some valuable tips. Since then he works as a cartoonist through his own Studio Demol. His gag comic strip with the character 'Vic' appears in the free local weekly newspaper De Streekkrant Torhout.

De Weldoeners
On 16 November 2013, Demol launched 'De Weldoeners: De Verborgen Grot' (2013), a one-shot comic book made in collaboration with Flemish singer Gabe Moretti, who established Gabe's Foundation, a foundation preoccupied with Parkinson's disease research at the University of Leuven. Demol, who also has somebody close to him suffering from the disease, was more than willing to create this comic book. The book was sold by newspaper store 't Hoekje in Tienen (Tirlemont) and gas station Texaco in Boutersem. The comic book earned more than 3,000 euros (about 3,327 dollars), which was donated to Gabe's Foundation.

In 2017, Demol took a short hiatus, resuming his activities with new comic projects, this time fully digital. After posting new stories with Cardoen's 'Pinkje' character on Facebook (2018-2020), he began working on 'Samtarctica' (2021), a new comic series about a ten-year-old boy who discovers an enchanting white world through a magical pearl.
