Nasjah Djamin was a famous Indonesian writer, poet, painter and illustrator, who drew a comic strip version about the Malaysian folk hero 'Hang Tuah'. It was first published by Balai Pustaka in Jakarta in 1951, as part of a series of Illustrated Classics. Nasjah Djamin lived and worked in Deli, North-Sumatra. He passed away in 1997 in Yogyakarta at age 72.
