Born in Marseille, Mathilde Domecq studied Applied Arts at the Lycée Marie Curie. She then went to Strasbourg to study Decorative Arts, and she graduated in Illustration in 2005.Domecq made her first comics for the juvenile press, including contributions to Pif Gadget ('Mission Saturne' with Herlé) and Glop-Glop ('Poï-Poï & Tito'). For Tchô! magazine she created series like 'Basile & Melba' and 'Paola Crusoé', that were both also published in book format by Glénat. For Bamboo, she made a comics adaptation of the fairy tale 'Hansel & Gretel' with Hélène Beney in 2011.
