Singlemania
Pieter M. Dorrenboom is a Dutch graphic artist and illustrator, who has also been active in the Dutch small-press comic scene (and beyond) since the beginning of the 1990s. He was one of the regular artists for Zone 5300 from 1995. He teamed up with Frits Jonker on the one-page comic 'Single-mania', in which the authors hilariously chronicled their collector's mania. They also made 'Elvis Lives!', a newspaper strip for Algemeen Dagblad, the paper for which Dorrenboom also made a weekly illustration. In 1996 he self-published 'Manische Krabbels'. Pieter Dorrenboom also written scripts for other artists, such as 'Bezoek uit de Balkan' for Benno Vranken. As a designer, Dorrenboom has made illustrations for VPRO Gids and the children's book collection De Gespreepte Boekjes. He has also been involved in the development of apps, and he runs his own shop on Etsy.
