Duc (or B. Duc) is the pseudonym for Bernard Ducourant. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Duc illustrated some comics for the magazines Spirou and Pif. These included 'Mystères du Cosmos' for Spirou from 1969 to 1972, and 'Les Baladins', a series about a group of traveling actors in the Middle Ages, in Pif in 1969 and 1970. He has also drawn for the vertical daily strip series 'Le Crime Ne Paie Pas' by Paul Gordeaux, serialized in France-Soir. He additionally appeared in Le Hérisson and Pilote.

Bernard Ducourant was a teacher of comic art at the Académie Charpentier in Paris. He is the author of a two-volume book about drawing comics, 'L'Art de la BD' (Glénat, 1982), of which the courses were first serialized in Gomme magazine. One professional comic artist who credited 'L'Art de la BD' with learning him to draw comics was Alain Sikorski
