Gary Dumm is especially known as the comic artist who has worked together with famous comic writer Harvey Pekar. Already in the late 1970s, Dumm did the artwork on Pekar's stories in 'American Splendor' (together with R. Crumb, G. Budgett and others). Today still, the fruit of their collaboration can be seen in projects such as 'Dennis McGee'. Gary Dumm has also teamed up with Joe Zabel on 'Dancing With Your Eyes Closed' and 'Trespassers', among others.
