Lucie Durbiano is a French illustrator, born in Castelsarrasin. She grew up in the South of France and attended the Villa Arson art school in Nice for a year, before studying Decorative Arts in Strasbourg. She started working as a children's book illustrator in 1999. Her first was 'La Bise du Renne', and this was followed by the series 'Lulu Grenadine' (by Laurence Gillot), an adaptation of 'Hansel et Gretel' and the educational book 'N'Oublie Pas de Voter!'.

She also created the educational children's book series 'Mastic' for the publishing house Tourbillon. She has contributed to magazines like Pomme d'Api, Tobogan and Astrapi. She made her debut as a comic artist in 2001, contributing a story to the collective 'Tohu Revue' by Les Humanoïdes Associés. Les Requins Marteaux published her first comic books 'Laurence' and 'Bizou' in 2004.
These were followed by the more adult oriented books 'Orage et Désespoir' (2006), 'Le Rouge Vous Va Si Bien' (2007, the Angoulême-nominated 'Trésor' (2009) and 'Lo' (2010) at Gallimard. Her comic strip 'Les Super Super', created with Laurence Gillot, runs in Astrapi, and is published in book format under the BD Kids imprint of Éditions Bayard. She also made the drawings for the comic adaptation of 'Quatre Saison' by Malika Ferdjoukh for BD Kids Je Bouquine.
