Mauvaise Graine, by Marianne Duvivier

Marianne Duvivier was born in former Belgian Congo in 1958. She studied art at the Institut Saint-Luc in Brussels. Afterwards, she drew her first comic pages for the fanzine Oxygène. About the same time, she teamed up with writer Jan Bucquoy and drew the series 'Stone' in magazine Circus from 1984 to 1987. In 1990, she illustrated 'Lagune, L'abbaye des Dunes' at publisher Delcourt (written by Jacques de Pierpont). A year later, Marianne Duvivier started writing her own scenarios, starting with several stories for À Suivre. Most of these stories have been collected in album by Casterman publishers under the title 'Mauvaise Graine'. In 2004, she took on the story 'L'Écharde' in the series 'Secrets' with a script by Frank Giroud in the collection Empreinte(s) at Dupuis.
