Túpac Amaru
Newton Estapé Vila was a photographer, journalist and cartoonist from Havana. He was one of the founding artists of the comics section El Hueca for Mella magazine, together with Virgilio Martínez and Silvio Rodríguez, among other authors. He also made 'Acualon' with Fabio Alonso for ¡Aventuras! in 1965. In the 1970s, he was a member of Fidel Morales Vega's team for ©Línea magazine, a publication of the comics section of the Prensa Latina agency. Estapé drew series like 'Túpac Amaru' and was also one of the artists of 'Milo la Pinera'. He wrote and directed the documentary 'Si Me Dieran Otra Vida' in 1992.
