'The Rainbow Orchid'. Dutch-language version. 

Garen Ewing is an English illustrator, designer and comic artist, born in 1969 in Redhill. Ewing began his career in the late 1980s, self-publishing several fanzines and eventually the anthology 'Cosmorama' through King Rat Press. Among his early comics was the SF story 'Realm of the Sorceress' (1987-1991), serialized in the fanzine Panemomium. In 1994, he made a full-length comic version of William Shakespeare's 'The Tempest'. He also drew a humorous strip called 'Captain Powerchord' (1993-1994), for the local entertainment guide 5D. 

Ewing has contributed to the Accent UK anthologies, 'Solar Wind', the 'Feed America's Children' charity comic and the weekly kids comic The DFC. He commenced working on his Clear Line adventure comic 'The Rainbow Orchid' starring the character Julius Chancer in 1996. After a couple of self-published episodes through King Rat Press in 2003, the comic was printed in book format by Egmont UK in 2009. Ewing is additionally a researcher and writer on the Second Anglo-Afghan War.
