Vampirella art by John Fantucchio

John G. Fantucchio was one of the most prominent artists of comic book fandom of the 1960s and 1970s. He provided highly detailed cover illustrations to fanzines like Rocket's Blast Comicollector (RBCC), The Collector, The Buyer's Guide for Comic's Fandom, Fantastic Fanzine and Comic Crusader, and even his autograph was a piece of art. In 1970, Fantucchio also drew two stories for the Warren horror magazines Vampirella and Creepy.

His later work is executed from a wide variety of media on various surfaces, varying from realistically rendered portraits, paintings and murals, comic book oriented illustrations or even three dimensional abstracts. He has also taught art classes in Virginia.
