'Our Curious World' (French-language version from the Quebec newspaper La Presse, 5 September 1942).
William Ferguson was an American book illustrator and comic artist. Inspired by Robert L. Ripley's 'Ripley's Believe It or Not', he drew the non-fiction newspaper features 'Feathered Facts and Fancies' (1927), 'Who's Who in Dogdom' (1928), 'Our Great Outdoor Zoo' (1928), 'Mother Nature's Curio Shop'. (1928-1931), 'Your Sunday Stroll' (1929), 'This Curious World' (1931-1952) and 'Righterong' (1943). 'This Curious World' returned as a weekly strip between 1956 and 1957.
On 14 September 1952, Ferguson also published the nature-themed adventure comic 'Glen Forrest' (1952-), syndicated by the Chicago Tribune-New York News syndicate. Its topper comic was 'Cateby'. For Drover's Journal of Omaha, he also drew a comic strip titled 'Beekins', which ran for more than 50 years.
