Peter FitzVerploegh was born in 1967 in Bergen op Zoom, The Netherlands, and lives and works in Utrecht. Although he studied Biology, he pursued a career as an illustrator, initially for publications on biology and medicine. Later on, he also took on commercial assignments for advertisements and educational projects. Since 2000, he has illustrated comics for Straatnieuws, and for the girls' magazine Tina. For the latter, he made the series 'Puck' with scripts by Frank Jonker, and 'Lucky Girls' with Lucienne van Ek until 2014. In 2009 he drew 'Newton in Nederland' together with René Bergmans, from a script by Ad Maas, for the Newton exposition in the Boerhaave Museum in Leiden.
