Männer ohne Worte

Frank Flöthmann is a freelance graphic designer and illustrator from Berlin, with a specialization in narrative art. He studied at the Braunschweig University of Fine Arts, and has made comics, illustrations and short animation films. His work has been shown in several exhibitions, and the artist works as a live cartoonist at conferences. Flöthmann makes wordless comic strips in a pictographic style, like 'Ein Mann, kein Wort', the monthly feature he made for the lifestyle magazine Men's Health until 2013. It was continued in Das Magazin under the title 'Männer ohne Worte' in 2014.

His first book was 'Grimms Märchen ohne Worte' (DuMont Buchverlag, 2013), a collection of wordless adaptations of Grimm fairy tales, in the same style. This was followed by adaptations of the Christmas story ('Stille Nacht - Die Weihnachtsgeschichte ohne Worte', 2014) and Shakespeare works ('Shakespeare ohne Worte', 2016).
