A self-taught artist, Fredman (pseudonym of Frédéric Trouillot) began his career as an independent illustrator. He studied at the CFT Gobelins, and began working in animation. He eventually settled in Montpellier, where he began a collaboration with the scriptwriter Jim. Together, they produced several albums in the collection Humour of Vents d'Ouest, such as 'Le Meilleur de Mes Amis', 'Tout Ce Qui Fait Râââler les Nanas', 'Putain de Vacances', 'Maigrir la Torture' and 'Rester Jeune a Tout Prix'.
