George Freeman was born in Selkirk, Manitoba in 1951. He started his career in comics in 1976, when he began working on 'Captain Canuck' comics (created by Richard Comely). Soon he became the main artist on this title, doing both art and text. In the 1980s, he worked for Marvel on titles such as 'Marvel Fanfare' and 'Jack of Hearts', and also for other publishers like DC, Eclipse, Image and Dark Horse. He has also worked on role playing games and the comics 'Nexus', 'X-files' and 'Batman'.
