While still an adolescent, Giovanni Freghieri joined the art studios of Giancarlo Tenenti, where he worked on series like 'Mister X' and 'Che Guevara'. He subsequently began a long collaboration with the publishing house Universo, doing comics like 'Black Rider' for Inrepido and Il Monello. He then moved over to Eura, where he did comics for Lanciostory and Skorpio. He drew the comic 'Rolls Royce' with a script by Alberto Ongaro for L'Eternauta in 1986. His first work for Bonelli were a few episodes of the 'Bella & Bronco' series, followed by some 'Martin Mystère' stories. He then joined the staff of the 'Dylan Dog' series. Besides a comic artist, Giovanni Freghieri is a photographer.
