After a scientific education, Karim Friha began to study art history. He began his career at the Éditions Milan, publishing in the magazine Toutàlire. He was then present in Tchô! magazine, where he met Dominique Latil. Latil introduced him to Sylvain Ruberg, with whom he began the series 'Astrid, la Petite Vandale' at Soleil in 2004.
In 1990 Friha paid graphic tribute to François Walthéry in the collective homage book 'Natacha. Special 20 Ans' (Marsu Productions, 1990), which celebrated the 20th anniversary of Walthéry's series 'Natacha'.
