While at college, Frédéric Gaëta started the school newspaper along with his friend, Emmanuel Nhieu. He intended to do two studies; economics science and plastic arts. At the same time, he met Mourad Boudjellal, who advised him to start a career in comics. He decided not to take on his cinematographic studies, and started the series 'L'Énigme de la Disparition du Dr Grahms' at Soleil in 2000. In 2003, he cooperated on the collective album 'Les Contes du Korrigan'.
