Blas Gallego Cuello is one of the European grandmasters of pin-up art, both in illustration and comics. He started his career at an early age working for a film publicity company. He later headed his own agency and has worked extensively for the USA, doing oil paintings, posters and book covers. His work has been published nearly everywhere in the world, from Tokyo to Rio de Janeiro.

He was active as a comic artist in the 1980s, mainly working together with scriptwriter Luis Roca on series like 'Astraxy' (in Zona 84). His erotic comic 'Dolly' appeared in Totem, el Comix. Gallego also contributed to Dossier Negro and Penthouse Comix.

As an agency artist, Gallego has worked for the British paper The Daily Star on about 1500 episodes of the erotic comic strip 'Ben and Katie' (1998-1999) with writer Doug Baker.

He has also worked on the girl's comic series 'Animal Rescue Unit' and 'Horse Angel', published in European girl's magazines. For the German publisher Bastei, he was one of the artists for the comic book 'Geisterjäger John Sinclair' in 2004.
