'Historia de Portugal em BD'.
José Garcês began his comics career in 1946 in O Mosquito, and received his diploma for Graphic Arts that same year. Garcês worked for O Mosquito for over a decade, providing various comics. For many years, he was an illustrator and comic artist for O Século and the women's magazine Modas e Bordados. He also illustrated several school books during his career. Garcês had his biggest success in the 1980s, with his four-volume series 'Historia de Portugal em BD', a comic book history of Portugal, made in collaboration with historian A. do Carmo.
