Réjean Gariépy did several art studies until 1989. He is member of the comics group SCABD since its creation in 1985. Between 1984 and 1986, he drew several comics for Crayons de Soleil, a supplement of Le Soleil. He was also present in the fanzine Enfin Bref and the magazine La Tordeuse d'Épinal. He drew for Safarir in 1988 and 1989, contributing mainly to the section Safarir... Jaune. He made his album debut in 1991 with 'Super Sans Plomb au Golfe Persique'. He began the fanzine Cactus in 1992 as well as the magazine Strip-Tize in 1993. Later on, Gariépy started doing illustrations work through several advertising agencies.
