Born in Bogota, Colombia, Carlos Garzón created his first character, 'El Dago', in 1967. In 1968, he took part in the creation of the review Super Historietas. From 1970, he published 'Calarcá' in the daily El Espectador. He has lived in the USA since 1975, where he works as an artist for companies like Marvel, DC and Dark Horse. He has assisted Al Williamson on 'Secret Agent Corrigan' ('Secret Agent X-9') and 'Star Wars' and worked on titles like 'Star Trek', 'Doom Patrol (DC) and 'Flash Gordon' (King Comics). He assisted John Cullen Murphy on 'Big Ben Bolt' and drew for Warren and Skywald publications in the 1970s.
