Kristina Gehrmann is a freelance illustrator and comic artist from Hamburg, Germany. She got her artistic education at Odd Nerdrum Studio in Stavern, Norway (2010), the Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy (2008-2011) and at the Akademie Leonardo in Hamburg, Germany (2011-2012). She mostly draws book covers for corporate and private clients, as well as illustrations for book interiors, children's books and game cards for clients in Germany and abroad. Her favorite themes are historical and fantasy subjects, and she works in a detailed painterly style inspired by classical Western artwork from the 17th to 19th century.

Gehrmann is the author of the graphic novel trilogy 'Im Eisland' ('In the land of ice'), which tells the story of the lost expedition of 19th century British arctic explorer Captain John Franklin. The three books were published in 2015 and 2016. Gehrmann has also self-published 'Zeichnen als beruf', a guidebook for beginning comic artists and illustrators.
