André Gerrits started drawing comic strips in his early childhood. He has contributed comics like 'Leo en zijn Rapid' to the club magazine of the Skoda Club Nederlands, of which he was also boardmember and editor. His own 'Jana' comic was published on his website and in a couple of self-published booklets. Gerrits' work was also featured on the Stripster portal and in magazines like MYX and P@per. A fan artist in his spare time, Gerrits was employed by Reestmond, a provision of sheltered workshops in Meppel, Westerveld, Staphorst and De Wolden. André Gerrits passed away in July 2013.
