Geza Dirks is a comic artist and designer from Heiloo. He studied cultural anthropology and social geography, but decided to try his luck at becoming a freelance illustrator and comic artist in 1992. Starting out in a bizarre underground style, he published in psychedelic drug magazines like Highlife and Soft Secrets.
A less bizarre style was employed for comics in teenage magazines such as Primeur, Kijk, Breakout! and National Geographic Magazine ('Flux'), as well as the periodicals Onkruid and Alles-op-Tien ('Spetters'). For magazine Kijk, he created the comic 'TechnoTess', which he also self-published in book format. In 2012 he made the comic book 'De diamanten van Mudada' in commission of Stichting Vluchtelingenwerk. Besides comics, Geza makes posters, illustrations, flyers, storyboards, websites, animations and music. Geza makes comic strips for commercial clients like the supermarket magazine Lekker Makkelijk Magazine ('Lieke en Max') and XRcise Magazine, a publication for professional militaries' ('Zandhazen').
