Eve Gilbert is the creator of 'Tits, Ass & Real Estate', a collection of stories documenting Gilbert's own life while she was homeless, as well as stories of other down-and-outers she met during her years of being homeless and working dead-end jobs. It was published by Fantagraphics Books in 2003. She is also a painter.
