Sam Gilman was an American actor who worked as a comic book artist through Funnies Inc. between 1939 and 1942. Educated at the Pratt Institute, Gilman illustrated several features for Centaur Comics, including 'Dan Dennis, F.B.I.', 'Iron Skull', 'Masked Marvel', 'Vapo-Man' and 'World Famous Heroes'. He eventually turned to acting, and starred in several films with Marlon Brando, such as 'The Wild One' (1953), 'The Young Lions' (1958), 'One-Eyed Jacks' (1961) and 'The Missouri Breaks' (1976).
