After taking some courses in drawing comics, Markuss Golschinski started out making comics for the periodicals Strapazin and Boxer. In 1994, he began his series with the barely pronounceable name 'Krm Krm'. The first issue of this semi-autobiographical series, 'Skalamitäten!', created quite a stir in Germany, because of the main character's friendship with a skinhead. Golschinski's way of storytelling, leaving many things "in the open," and his refusal to adopt a clear-cut position, is a technique that gives power to his comics.
