Gokul Gopalakrishnan is a motor vehicles inspector during daytime, and comic artist in his spare time. Hailing from Thrissur, Gokul graduated in Sociology and did his Masters in English Literature. His comic strip 'Small Talk' runs in The New Indian Express since 2009. He made 'As City Is' for a Mumbai daily and he has contributed several pages to the section 'The Small Picture' in the financial paper Mint. His cartoons and comics have also appeared in Asian Age, Deccan Chronicle, The New Indian Express, DNA, Fountain Ink, Kindle and various comics anthologies. Gopalakrishnan is associated with Comix India, an alternative comic movement, and has written extensively on comic art for both academic and popular publications.
