Pirates
Emmanuel Martin is an artist originally from Brittany, who works under the pen name Gorobei. He grew up in Africa, France and Singapore, before settling in Toulouse. He studied Foreign Languages, but eventually enrolled at the Pivaut Art School in Nantes in 2006. He has worked as an illustrator for ad agencies and the press.
Gorobei has furthermore contributed to the magazines published by Ankama Presse, such as Dofus Mag, IG Mag, Akiba and Mini Wakfu Mag. His work has also appeared in Tchô! (Glénat/Fleurus). He published his comic 'Square&Soup' on the 30joursdebd blog. For Éditions Makaka, he has made the interactive riddle comic 'Pirates - La BD dont vous êtes le héros!' (2012 onwards) with writer Shuky, and 'Les remèdes de l'Ouest' (2015) with Jérôme Brizard.
