Denis Goulet lives and works in Quebec. He got his interest in comics through reading the European classics, but mostly the French comic magazine Pif Gadget. He published his first drawings starring the character 'Marius' in the daily newspaper Le Soleil. He later made the gag series 'Canal Machin' with Thiriet for Spirou from 2001 to 2002, and also became a regular contributor to the Canadian magazine Safarir. Goulet works as an illustrator for magazines, children's literature, advertisements and school books, and he also runs a website dedicated to Pif Gadget (since 1998).
In 2004, he made his comic album debut with the first book in the series 'Les Commerciaux' at Bamboo publishers (text by Plumeri and Boitell). He has since made the series 'Carmen, de Prosper Mérimée' with Brrémaud (Delcourt, 2012) and the Spirou supplements 'Groom Service' (with Falzar, 2012) and 'Kyle McFlanaghan' (with Sti, 2014).
