HalfBob was born in Saint-Étienne in 1974. He was a member of the Trait d'Encre association from 2001 and 2005, through which he participated in fanzines like Murge and Sésame. He turned to webcomics with the launch of his children's strip 'Super Jean-Jacques'. In 2010, he also started a comics blog about rock music, called 'Gimme indie rock'. Collections of his chronicles from this blog were published by Vide Cocagne from 2011. He has also contributed to Vide Cocagne's anthology comic book 'Alimentation Générale'.
Other books by HalfBob are 'Elmer la peluche qui parle' at Éditions Jarjille (2011) and 'Melinda' at Les Éditions Poivre & Sel (2012). He worked with writer Hervé Bourhis on 'Juniors', that was published by Futuropolis in 2015.
