William Bryce Hamilton became the main artist of the 'Sexton Blake' strip in Knockout, when it turned into a weekly complete two page picture story in late 1953. Most of the strips were scripted by the editor, Arthur Bouchier. Upon Hamilton's death, Frank Pashley took over the artwork. Also for Knockout, Hamilton drew stories like 'Spies of Spain', 'The Three Musketeers' and 'Smuggler's Creek'.
Hamilton additionally drew for other Amalgamated Press publications, such as The Comet ('The Elusive Pimpernel'), Cowboy Comics Library ('Kit Carson and the Black Hoods'), Super Detective Library ('The Case of the Sinister Castle', 'The Man Who Made Gold').
