'Never Coming Back'.
Julian Hanshaw was born in 1971 in Hemel Hempstead. He graduated from the University of Wolverhampton with a BA Hons in Fine Art. After spending three years at the National Film and Television School where his animation 'The Church of High Weirdness' won the Golden Reels in Los Angeles, he worked in the animation industry for over 12 years.
In 2008, Hanshaw won The Observer/Comica graphic short story prize for 'Sand Dunes and Sonic Booms'. Since then, he has worked as a freelance illustrator and has the graphic novels 'The Art of Pho' (2010) and 'I'm Never Coming Back' (2011) published by Random House/Jonathan Cape.
