Wes Hargis is an American illustrator and cartoonist, based in Arizona. He has made illustrations for such clients as Harpercollins, Bloomsbury, King Features and Lerner Books, working with writers like Elizabeth Koelhler-Pentacoff, Al Yankovic and Rick Walton. He was also the artist of the newspaper comic 'Franklin Fibbs', about an elderly storyteller extraordinaire. The feature was written by Hollis Brown and first syndicated by King Features on 6 September 2004. On 7 May 2006, Brown and Hargis changed the name of the strip to 'Little Fibbs', and from then on focused on the younger Fibbs as a precocious boy. The strip ended a couple of months later, in October 2006.
